Sunday School
Christian education is offered from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. The method used is called "Godly Play," which mirrors worship. Children prepare by finding a state of readiness to hear God's word, greet one another in Christian community, actively listen to a story based on God's word, explore that lesson together in questions and art, give thanks to God and break bread together, and finally, go out into the world in God's name.
Youth Group
Youth from grades six to eight form a Middle School youth program of spiritual formation. This involves study, mission work and activities that are just plain fun.
The high school youth program incorporates youth from grades nine to twelve. This program explores youth experience in modern culture, celebrates each young person's individuality and creative potential, and prepares them for successful adult participation in church and society.

Book Group
The St. Stephen's Book Group grew out of a Lenten course on Spirituality and Contemporary Fiction. Our focus has been how individual characters relate to what they think and believe and to what they do in their daily life. We look to enlarge our own sensibilities through reading, to share our thoughts and questions and reflect on the core of spiritual consciousness at the heart of human experience. |
