On July 12, France awarded the Legion of Honor to Amo Houghton for exceptional courage in friendship to the people of France. As a Congressman, Amo promoted cooperation with France and was one of six Republicans to oppose the invasion of Iraq. We congratulate and thank you, Amo, friend and parishioner, for serving our nation with honor and distinction! Read the speech by the Ambassador of France to the United States, posted on the Embassy's web site.
