"What can be better than a long weekend in November with a special day off to remember our veterans? Couldn't we all just use a little breather right now? What a year it's been, and we have a new rector coming in! It's been quite a journey and we're at the rest stop, taking a deep breath and we wonder, what will we become?"

"Today's Gospel reminds us that a living God offers us continual chances to recreate, reform, renew.  It's the image of the living God that I bring to you today, that's at work in the world; growing, changing, inviting, forming - a God that walks with us into the future. And so it's this living God that we should hold on to."
